Hitchhiking

You can find a lift from the Mexican highway from many drivers passing by or you can find a bus on highway routes like Mexico 180 and Mexico 307. Most of the time it will not cost you anything but sometimes you will have to pay a bit amount for the ride. It’s easier to find a ride near a gas station or a speed bump.

Ferry services are available from the port of Isla Mujeres to the port of Puerto Juarez in Cancun. There are passenger ships available that run from South America to the USA and back regularly.
