  • Cathedral Virgin Del Carmen: It is a church situated in Iguazu. The church's exterior is orangey-pink, and the church's interior is creamy Orange pink in the shape of a wedge. How to Get There

Puerto Iguazú is a small town with approximately no direct means of transportation to reach here. However, if you are in South America, you can directly get here because there are many means of transport. Air

Cataratas Iguazu International Airport is the easternmost Argentine Airport in Puerto Iguazú, served by charter flights. It covers an area of 4,460 acres and is operated by Aeropuertos Argentina since 2000. This International Airport does not have access to most countries; therefore, it is an indirect means of transport. The Airport is in a woody rural location, 16 kilometers southeast of Puerto Iguazú and 6 kilometers south of the falls. A second airport near the Iguazu falls named Foz du Iguacu International Airport is also present that spreads over 240 meters.

Bus

There are intertown buses that move around this town connecting to different cities. From the capital of Argentina, it takes around 18 hours by bus to reach this town. The buses are well-furnished with free wifi service available and good conditioned seats. To reduce the use of papers, you can even book tickets online or can purchase a card pass at once if you are planning to stay longer or regularly want to use the bus.

Train

According to sources, there are no traces of any railway tracks or railway station in this small town. It might be because of low pollution. The area of Puerto Iguazú is also minimal, which does not allow train tracks.


Hitchhiking

Recycling

Recycling is very trendy amongst the locals and tourists in this town. Organic waste from households is a great way to create cost-free manure for agricultural lands and as fodder for poultry animals. Metal waste is also usable as a recycled product by melting it and reshaping it. Electronic waste, including television computers and much other electronic equipment, is used by digging out its working part or reusable part. Similar to metal scraps, glass items are also given new shapes by melting and molding. Woods are reused by joining each other and making floors, benches, or other wooden items.


Waste

Due to the increasing dissatisfaction with the garbage disposal, the government of Puerto Iguazú plans to put dustbins everywhere around the town. Separate garbage vans are present for different areas to collect garbage from the localities. The government is trying very much to reduce waste by creating proper waste management policies.

Puerto Iguazú is suitable for education and working. It will boost your self-confidence and will help you to build your personality. Many jobs, including English-speaking guides, are vacant here because tourism is very high. In Puerto Iguazú, an international university sends students to other South American universities from which they have a partnership. UNILA (the Federal University of Latin-America Integration) is the university that hosts and is part of the global student exchange program in Puerto Iguazú.

An Au Pair is an individual from a foreign country who takes care of the child while staying with the family. Many families are ready to take an Au Pair available across the town where you can be an Au pair. You have to use your social skills to create a good impression so that the parents feel no doubts regarding their child's safety.


Volunteering

There are many NGOs in this city where you can participate in volunteering activities. These organizations play an essential role in resolving societal problems that the government is unable to solve. These volunteering organizations hold such activities occasionally, and even a tourist can take part in them.
