A few people come to Dili in search of work from various parts of East Timor. On the island it is an education giant as well. However, it is nowhere comparable to bigger cities in neighbouring nations.

Exchange Student

The city attracts very few exchange students, most of the students on the island themselves prefer to head to major education destinations in neighbouring countries.

Au Pair

Au Pair as a concept isn’t popular here in Dili but if you do find a suitable host you could give it a shot.

Volunteering

Being a little city confronting an arrangement of issues, you can be certain that there is a lot of work occurring here that requires volunteers, you also can contribute to society and volunteer for different projects being undertaken here by associations particularly NGOs.
