She was later converted into an oil jetty in 1927 where she served until 1979 where she was handed over to the Maritime Trust for renovation. This renovation process lasted for 10 years with some of her features being completely recreated. Upon completion of this restoration process, she returned to Portsmouth where she has been converted to a museum since 1987.

How to Get There

Portsmouth does not have an airport thus it is not accessible by air. It is however accessible by train from London, by ferry from Spain and France, and by road from any town in England. Air

Portsmouth does not have an airport thus air transport is not available in the city. The closet airport is located in the nearby city of Southampton where you can then proceed by road to Portsmouth.


Bus
